A year and a half after its acquisition, Vinted, the online marketplace for second-hand fashion, announces its merger with Rebelle, the marketplace for second-hand luxury fashion. The joint move brings together the second-hand offerings of both platforms into one marketplace under the Vinted brand.

Starting Feb. 19, Rebelle users are invited to an "easy, secure and effortless migration process. They will have the opportunity to transfer their ads, brand and size preferences and wishlist items to a Vinted environment.

By joining the larger Vinted community, members can discover millions of pre-owned items in more categories, including kids, home, entertainment and pets. On Vinted, sellers from the Netherlands can offer and sell their designer items for free. In the Netherlands, Vinted has 4.5 million users.

Rebelle founder and former CEO Cécile Wickmann has already stepped into a new role as 'Senior Director Luxury,' driving the business strategy for second-hand luxury fashion at Vinted.

'The closure of Rebelle is not the end of our 10-year journey - it is a new beginning. With the same enthusiasm and commitment to luxury second-hand fashion as Rebelle, we are now embarking on an exciting new adventure at Vinted,' Wickmann explained.
