Tele2 AB said Tuesday that it has secured 100 megahertz in the 3.5 gigahertz spectrum auction in Sweden with partner company Telenor Sweden.

The Sweden-based telecoms company said that, combined with the frequencies already won in the 700 megahertz auction of 2018, it will be possible to begin a nationwide rollout of 5G and make significant upgrades to its existing 4G network.

The rollout will be primarily conducted through the two companies' joint company, Net4Mobility.

Tele2 also said it has finalized its vendor procurement and has chosen Nokia Corp. and Ericsson AB as partners in the rollout of the joint 5G radio-access network.
