Maersk Drilling awarded one-well extension for drillship with TotalEnergies TotalEnergies E&P Suriname, Suriname Branch has exercised an option to add the drilling of one additional well in Block 58 offshore Suriname to the work scope of the drillship Maersk Valiant. The contract extension is expected to commence in January 2023, in direct continuation of the rig's current work scope, with an estimated duration of 100 days. The contract value of the extension is approximately USD 24.7m, including integrated services provided and a fee for the use of managed pressure drilling.

Maersk Valiant is a high-specification 7^th generation drillship with integrated managed pressure drilling capability which was delivered in 2013. It is currently operating for TotalEnergies offshore Suriname.

Drilling Company of 1972 A/S is a Denmark-based drilling company and a global lessor and operator of high-tech offshore drilling rigs and vessels, which carry out drilling activities at sea at great water depths and under extreme weather conditions, for oil and gas companies worldwide. Drilling Company of 1972 A/S' fleet of drilling rigs and vessels comprises 19 jack-up platforms that stand on the seabed. They are capable of operating at depths down to approx. 150 meters. The Company's 20 floaters are divided into four semi-submersible rigs, which are floating platforms that can operate in water depths down to about 3,000 meters, while the 4 drillships can operate down to approx. 3,650 meters water depth. The Company's main activities are divided into two segments: North Sea and International. The Company has several subsidiaries, such as Maersk Drilling Services Singapore Pte Ltd and Maersk Drilling Brasil Servicos de Perfuracao Maritimos Ltda.
