SES-imagotag announced last night that it had posted record sales for the first half of the year, with growth of over 30%, in line with its full-year target.

Sales for the first six months of the year rose by 33% year-on-year to 380 million euros, while half-year order intake stood at 518 million euros, including the major contract signed with Walmart.

The second quarter also set a new record, with quarterly sales of 221 million euros, breaking the 200 million euro barrier for the first time, an increase of 33%.

In its press release, SES-imagotag expects to achieve its sales target of 800 million euros in 2023, and to continue its solid growth in 2024, thanks in particular to the acceleration in the USA.

However, some analysts are concerned about the slowdown in the VAS innovative services business (+18% in the first half), which is expected to provide a growth driver beyond the traditional electronic labels business.

The share price fell by 7.8% following this publication.
