On May 2, 2016, the Board of Directors of WhiteHorse Finance, Inc. appointed Stuart Aronson as Chief Executive Officer, effective May 23, 2016. Jay Carvell, the Company's current Chief Executive Officer, will continue to serve as a member of the company's Board of Directors and as a Managing Director of H.I.G. WhiteHorse Advisers, LLC. Mr. Aronson currently serves as the Group Head of the U.S. direct lending platform of H.I.G. Capital, L.L.C.
WhiteHorse Finance, Inc. is an externally managed, non-diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Company's investment objective is to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns primarily by originating and investing in senior secured loans, including first lien and second lien facilities, to performing lower middle market companies across a broad range of industries. The Company is focused principally on originating senior secured loans to lower middle market companies. It also makes opportunistic investments at other levels of a companyâs capital structure, including mezzanine loans or equity interests, and in companies outside the United States based lower middle market. The Companyâs investment advisor is H.I.G. WhiteHorse Advisers, LLC.
