Woolworths Holdings Limited announced that after serving seven years as an independent non-executive director, Chairman of the Sustainability Committee and member of the Nominations, Remuneration, and the Risk and Compliance committees, Stuart Rose has resigned from the Board with effect from May 28, 2018.

WoolWorths Holdings Limited is one of the South African leaders in retailing. Net sales break down by activity as follows: - distribution of clothes and consumer products (49.3%): clothes for men, women and children, shoes, beauty products, accessories and homeware; - distribution of food products (47.3%); - other (3.4%): primarily financial services. At the end of June 2021, the group had a network of 1,279 stores broken down by name into WoolWorths (545), Country Road (689) and David Jones (45). Net sales break down geographically as follows: South Africa (61.4%), Africa (2.5%), Australia and New Zealand (36.1%).
