In London, ABN AMRO received a Finance for the Future Award in the category 'Communicating Integrated Thinking'. The awards are an initiative of Finance for the Future, founded by The Prince's Accounting for Sustainability Project (A4S) and ICAEW. A4S was established by HRH The Prince of Wales in 2004. Its aim is to make sustainable business business as usual.

The judges wrote, 'ABN AMRO's core strategy refresh puts its clients' sustainability transition at its heart. Their sleek 'core and more' approach puts the Integrated Annual Review at the centre of its communications suite'.

ABN AMRO introduced its core and more approach in 2017. In the Integrated Annual Review, the reader is offered a concise view of the bank's environment, its strategy, the results achieved in the previous year and the way ABN AMRO creates value for its stakeholders. The Annual Report provides information about the bank's financial and non-financial performance in compliance with regulatory requirements. In addition, ABN AMRO published its first Impact Report and a Human Rights Update in 2018.

ABN AMRO is strongly committed to communicating clearly, and to different stakeholders, how it has integrated sustainability and long-term value creation into the heart of its purpose, refreshed strategy and thinking.
