JUNCTION AT PULLMAN: A NEW CONCEPT INTRODUCED IN PARIS: LIVE. for real

'Junction at Pullman' - Work & Play
Breaking down barriers, opening up spaces, transforming the lobby into a living environment - it was for all these reasons that Pullman created Junction! This concept was recently introduced in Asia-Pacific, and has now been rolled out for the first time in Europe at Pullman Paris Centre-Bercy. Junction at Pullman is a meeting place for friends, colleagues, and travelers, as well as an ideal location for business meetings. With this concept, Pullman is offering modern, nomadic and connected travelers a relaxed, open and trendy place in which to work & play.

LIVE. for real - Art & Trendy
At Pullman Paris Centre-Bercy, the Junction concept has been extended under the name LIVE. for real. Located in the heart of the bustling, up-and-coming neighborhood of the 12th arrondissement, this space blends seamlessly into the vibrant local entertainment and living art scene.
Directly influenced by venues such as the AccorHotels Arena, the City of Fashion and Design or the Cinémathèque, innovative and unique services are offered in spaces featuring sleek and modern lines. The hotel is alive and, in keeping with Parisian life, a place where guests are the center of all attention.

'The role of design is to improve the world' - Tom Dixon
Tom Dixon was the obvious choice to work on the major overhaul of Pullman Paris Centre-Bercy. His unconventional background, his love for all artistic styles, his fascination with outsider art and cultural encounters all made him the ideal designer for this new multifaceted, surprising, and daring property. These spaces, connected with the world of today, combine unusual and eclectic services that make this location a destination in its own right, a creative and recreative space for Parisians, neighbors, and travelers alike.

INNOVATIVE LIVING SPACES

A FUSION OF PASSION AND COMMITMENT
Live Corner
Sweet treats, bespoke sandwiches, reinterpreted Parisian patisserie and colorful sharing platters are all on the menu of the Live Corner. They can be enjoyed on the premises or to go! The icing on the cake? The Corner also features a concept store, The Box By, offering a curated selection of items and accessories chosen from the fields of design, entertainment, and nomadic working, as well as Tom Dixon brand products.

L'Esprit du 12e

INTERVIEW WITH TOM DIXON
Renowned British designer Tom Dixon was Creative Director of Habitat for 10 years. In 2002 he founded his own design firm with David Begg. His ambition was to renew British design by combining outsider art with cultural encounters. He has created his own company to design and manufacture his own furniture and lighting collections. His signature style is sleek and streamlined, and his creations bring a breath of fresh air to industrial concepts. They reflect his passion for raw materials, craftsmanship, and industrial design.

Face to face*
What does Pullman mean to you? What was your vision for the project?

We were invited to contribute to this project in order to redesign the guest experience upon arrival at the hotel through the transformation of public areas, including the lobby and reception, as well as working and relaxation spaces. Pullman is a brand driven by a strong heritage, benefiting from an exciting history and which is particularly committed to the future... We hope that this contemporary project will represent another major step in that direction!

You're working on a project at Pullman Paris Centre-Bercy, which isn't just a refurbishment but a complete transformation. Why did you agree to work on this project?

We enjoy working on the design of hotels and we like working in France! Hotels are places for vacations, business, rest and relaxation, conducive to recharging your batteries. For many years, the hotel business has been relatively static and conservative. Today, the sector is undergoing rapid transformations that are breaking with established practices, and are completely shaking up and rewriting the rules for the industry. It is precisely at this moment that design becomes exciting. At Pullman Paris Centre-Bercy, we wanted to offer both travelers and employees a functional, multifaceted and stylish space that works just as well during the day as it does by night. Its totally modular spaces can be altered according to requirements, tastes and events. We focused on the details, with more wooden and natural finishes, using materials such as oak and cork, and a softer color palette.
