This system is designed with an Intel® Pentium®, Quad Core N3710 processor (formally Braswell) which offers the highest processing power and graphic performance. The integrated Intel Gen 8 Graphics Engine and media encoder/decoder supports up to three independent 4K displays via DisplayPort, HDMI Port, or DVI-D. EPC-T1216 can also support Wall/ VESA/ Rack mounting. In addition, the thin and fanless design, 1U height chassis dimension, and multiple USB/COM features make it ideal for Passenger Information Display Systems (PIS) and KIOSK applications.

Thin, High Performance, Fanless Design for Space-limited Passenger Information Display System
EPC-T1216 is integrated with an Intel Gen 8 Graphics Engine and media encoder/decoder supporting up to three independently operated 4K displays, which allow customers to display information/pictures/advertisements clearly on the big screen in public transportation systems such as airports, bus stations, train stations and more. EPC-T1216 can be remotely controlled via a wire/wireless network as well. In addition, users can easily integrate touch screens, speakers, sensors, and cameras via the multiple external I/O such as dual Gigabit Ethernet, 4 x USB 3.0 ports, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, 6 x serial ports (1x RS-232/422/485, 1x RS-232 w/ 5V 12V), Audio jack w/mic in, line out, 1 x mPCIe for a wireless module, 1 x M.2 for a storage module, and a 2.5Φ power jack with 12V DC input. Moreover, using the multiple mounting kit, users can quickly integrate EPC-T1216 into their Passenger Information Display System (PIS).

EPC-T1216 measures are just 250 x 43 x 210 mm in width x height x depth. The thin and fanless design makes it ideal for Passenger Information Display System (PIS) which is usually installed in space limited locations such as between a monitor and the wall, on the rear side of a hanging monitor, or a mounting hole in a wall where the ventilation is poor.

Implementing PIS Applications with IoT Software WISE-PaaS
Due to its thin design, powerful processor, rich I/O interface, and flexible hold mode, the EPC-T1216is ideal for PIS and kiosk applications. The best feature of EPC-T1216 is that it can combine with Advantech's WISE-PaaS/RMM solution as a completed PIS Solution. WISE-PaaS/RMM is an IoT device management software platform which comes with more than 100 RESTful APIs including account management, device management, device control, event management, system management, and database management. Moreover, WISE-PaaS/RMM can help customers with CPU/HDD/SSD/External device failure prediction, scheduled panel brightness calibration, big data analysis, and external device control.
