In the month and a bit since, they have managed to outdo any expectations they, or the Mini Council could ever have had, as they managed to surpass last year's record number of eggs collected. The Mini Council embarked on the campaign earlier in the year in an effort to collect Easter eggs for the Nashua Children's Charity Foundation, which provides approximately 60 000 meals per month to about 13 000 children in South Africa.

Now, thanks to Charterhouse's mini councillors, Caitlin Allen and Amy Theron, along with the rest of the members of the Joburg Mini Council, these children will be receiving a little more than just a meal, as they managed to collect tens of thousands of Easter eggs. Caitlin and Amy's efforts alone were totally out of this world as they managed to collect an astounding 12 153 Easter eggs.

All of these eggs, as well as those collected by the rest of the Mini Council, were then collected and packaged on 15 April, before they were shipped off to the recipients for a happy Easter.
