5 February 2019, Moscow - Reports of the detention of Aeroflot's Deputy Director of the Flight Operations Department Anatoly Yakimchuk by FSB officers in connection with accusations of bribing the chairman of the Central Medical and Flight Expert Commission for Civil Aviation Boris Potievsky are false. Anatoly Yakimchuk has not been detained and continues to work at Aeroflot.

Moreover, in September 2018, Anatoly Yakimchuk filed a statement with law enforcement authorities where he gave a detailed account of the incident in question. On 12 October, the Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case based on FSB intelligence, and the facts reported by Anatoly Yakimchuk will be checked as part of this.

Aeroflot affirms its commitment to its anti-corruption policy that is specified in the Company's internal bylaws.
