The AES Corporation is one of the world's leading electricity producers and distributors. The activity is organized around 2 areas:
- electricity production and sale: owned, at the end of 2023, of 113 power plants worldwide, with a production capacity of 32 326 MW;
- electricity distribution.
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: the United States (35.1%), Chile (15.3%), Dominican Republic (11.1%), El Salvador (7.4%), Colombia (5.6%), Brazil (5.5%) , Panama (5.1%), Bulgaria (4.2%), Mexico (4.2%), Argentina (3.2%), Vietnam (2.7%) and others (0.6%).
