VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ Africa Oil Corp. (AOIFF) on Tuesday reported a loss of $146.2 million in its fourth quarter.

The Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said it had a loss of 31 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for asset impairment costs, came to 1 cent per share.

For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $156.8 million, or 33 cents per share.

The company's shares closed at 92 cents. A year ago, they were trading at 87 cents.
