After serving as a member of the Vlerick board since October 2017, Ahold Delhaize's CEO Frans Muller will now take on the post of chairman, formerly held by Roch Doliveux. In a press release, the board stated that it is extremely proud to announce that Frans has accepted the role. 'With Frans, the school has another non-Belgian leader of a large international company as chairperson who brings a passion for education and particular experience in consumer goods, digital, customer delight and international food retail market.'

Referencing the fact that the school recently underwent a very successful strategic transformation, Frans said, 'I am honored to take on the role of chairman at such an important time in Vlerick's rich history. Roch Doliveux has done a tremendous job helping drive the school's resurgence. I look forward to working closely with the board and our dean professor Marion Debruyne, to ensure Vlerick continues to evolve, as I think education plays an essential role in preparing enterprising leaders to best meet the business needs of the future.'
