ALD AUTOMOTIVE ANNOUNCES NEW APPOINTMENTS IN LATIN AMERICA

ALD Automotive has made the following appointments to support its development strategy in Latin America:

  • Kent Bjertrupbecomes General Manager of Mexico, effective immediately, in addition to his role as Regional Director of Latin America.
  • Julien Bourdonnecis appointed General Manager of Chile, replacing Antonio Cruz Cabeza who has been appointed Subdirector General - Area Comercial y de Marketing in Spain.
  • Marie-StéphanieLe Beris appointed General Manager of Peru, replacing Julien Bourdonnec. These appointments are effective as of July 1, 2019.

ALD Automotive benefits from a market leading position in Latin America with operations in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Chile and Peru. This regional presence allows the Group to provide a comprehensive offering of both full-service leasing and fleet management for local and international clients and take advantage of the growth potential of the full-service leasing market in Latin America.

ALD Automotive and its strategic North American partner Wheels Inc. also benefit from regional coverage through targeted partnerships in Central America with Arrend Leasing, as well as in Argentina with Autocorp, providing the broadest coverage in Latin America.

Biographies

Kent Bjertrup

Kent Bjertrup joined ALD Automotive in Denmark as Head of Customer Serivce in 1998 and went on to become Head of Sales in 2001. In 2005, he opened operations in Lithuania as General Manager and was appointed Managing Director in 2009 for three Baltic states (Estonia, Latvia & Lithuania). A year later, he moved to Russia as Managing Director before also being appointed Regional Director in 2012

for the North East European Region. In 2016, he transferred to Paris to become Group Chief Commercial Officer of ALD Automotive and was later appointed Regional Director for Latin America in 2017 to strengthen the company's presence in the region.

He holds a degree in Business Administration, International Management and Economics from the Copenhagen Business School.

Julien Bourdonnec

Julien Bourdonnec began his career in 2005 as an auditor with Deloitte's financial institutions division. He went on to join Societe General in 2009 as financial controller and was appointed Regional CFO for ALD Automotive's Nordics region in 2012. In 2016, he became General Manager of ALD Automotive in Peru after launching greenfield operations in the country.

He holds a master's degree in finance and strategy from the Institut d'Études Politiques and is a CFA Charterholder.

Marie-Stéphanie Le Ber

Marie-Stéphanie Le Ber began her career in 2005 at Calyon (Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank) starting as an analyst in Mergers & Acquisitions in Paris then in Structured Finance in Latin America. She joined Societe Generale's General Inspection unit in 2010 and was appointed Chief of Staff to the CEO at ALD Automotive in 2018.

She holds a degree in finance from the ESSEC Business School.
