ALD : announces the appointment of new CEOs in Belgium and Hungary

ALD is pleased to announce the appointment of Klaudija Casar Torkar as Chief Executive Officer of ALD Automotive in Belgium. Previously Chief Executive Officer of ALD Automotive in Hungary, she replaces Miel Horsten who was appointed Group Regional Director of ALD starting 1 June 2020. In addition to her new role, Klaudija joins ALD's Operating Board which is comprised of the Group's executive and main operational directors and whose role is to ensure strategic alignment on all business initiatives.

Klaudija is replaced by Olena Tymofiyiva, previously Chief Executive Officer of ALD Automotive in Bulgaria.

Both appointments are effective on 1 September 2020.

Serving large corporates, SMEs and private individuals, ALD Automotive has been present in Belgium for over 50 years and is the largest player in the market. ALD Automotive Belgium manages a fleet of 82,015 vehicles at end 31 December 2019, in addition to 3,854 lease bikes and 1,750 short-term rental vehicles.

ALD Automotive in Hungary is also the market leader, following the acquisition of MKB Euroleasing in 2016, serving large corporates and SMEs with a fleet of 15,576 vehicles, at end 31 December 2019.

Biographies

Klaudija Casar Torkar

Klaudija Casar Torkar began her career in 1996 as Head of Marketing at Porsche Leasing and in 1999 was promoted Head of Marketing for SEAT at Porsche in Slovenia. Four years later, she was appointed Head of the SEAT Division and in 2008, she joined Trimo in Slovenia to manage strategic customers. In 2009, Klaudija joined ALD Automotive as Branch Office Manager in Slovenia before being appointed Regional Sales Director for the Adriatic region in 2011, in addition to her previous role. Klaudija was appointed Chief Executive Officer of ALD Automotive in Bulgaria in 2014 and went on to become Chief Executive Officer of ALD Automotive in Hungary in 2018.

Klaudija holds Master of Science in Economics and Business from the University of Maribor.

Olena Tymofiyiva

Olena Tymofiyiva began her career at ALD Automotive in Ukraine in 2006. In 2009, she became Chief Financial Officer and was also made Head of IT and Projects in 2017. She was appointed Chief Executive Officer of ALD Automotive in Bulgaria in 2018.

Olena holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Kyiv-Mohyla Business School.
