ALSEA REPORTS REGARDING THE RECENT EARTHQUAKES THAT TOOK PLACE ON SEPTEMBER 7 AND 19, 2017

Mexico City, September 28, 2017. Alsea, SAB de C.V. (BMV: ALSEA *) the leading operator of Quick Service Restaurants, Coffee Shops, and Casual Dining establishments in Latin America and Spain reports that fortunately all of its collaborators located in the states affected by the earthquakes of September 7th and 19th of the current year in Mexico are out of danger, although approximately 280 of them suffered damages mainly in their homes, for which the company has activated an internal plan of aid through the Emergency Committee, in order to be able to provide support to each and every one of our affected collaborators.

Concerning our operations, the vast majority of the 690 units that Alsea has in the states of Chiapas, Oaxaca, Puebla, Morelos and Mexico City are currently operating and fully functional, except for 15 units, out of which 1 will have to be relocated, 2 are waiting for a formal civil protection opinion, 5 are closed because of the dependence on the reopening of certain shopping malls and the remaining 7 are not in operation due to damages in neighboring buildings.

We continue in line with our development plan for the end of the year and we will work together with our maintenance team to restore the units that had minimal damages, mainly in finishings, crystals, minor fissures in walls and floors.

Through Fundación Alsea A.C. we made a direct donation of 5 million pesos to help those affected by the aforementioned earthquakes; We also activated a fundraising campaign inviting our customers to make a donation at the more than 1,700 restaurants of Alsea's brands: Domino's Pizza, Starbucks, Burger King, Chili's, California Pizza Kitchen, P.F. Chang's, Italianni's, The Cheesecake Factory, Vips and The Gate. These donations will be duplicated by Fundación Alsea A.C., likewise through the "Its on me" movement, four children's diners will be built in the affected entities of Oaxaca, Morelos, Puebla and Mexico City.

The 5 million pesos from the initial contribution of the Foundation will be delivered to various civil society organizations to help those affected by the earthquakes. The resources obtained through the collaboration of clients will be divided equally between the National Support Center for Epidemiological Contingencies and Disasters A.C. (CENACED) and the movement "Its on me".

Also, we have initiated an internal initiative in all the countries where we have presence, called 'A day for Mexico', in which we invite all our collaborators to donate one, two or three days of their salary voluntarily. The commitment of the company is to put three times more the amount raised and allocate the total to support the various situations that our collaborators suffer.

In addition to these actions, thanks to the sum of efforts among collaborators, customers and brands, there has been constant support to Mexico City, Morelos, Puebla, the State of Mexico, Oaxaca and Chiapas, enabling more than 900 restaurants as Collection Centers for food and personal hygiene items. These donations have been channeled through the food banks "Food for all IAP" and the "Association of Food Banks of Mexico", and have been delivered to the affected entities of Mexico City, Morelos, Puebla, Oaxaca and Chiapas.

Alsea's restaurants located around the affected areas have provided support to more than 10,000 volunteers who have performed rescue labors, medical care and food pantries by: 1) delivering drinks and food, 2) providing hospitality to rescuers and 3) extending the schedules in each restaurant according to the needs of each day and thanks to the collaboration of Fundación Alsea A.C. and Santa Maria Diners A.C. more than 5,000 Box Lunches were prepared for volunteers and affected in emergency zones. Finally, the company has provided support inmore than 100 official shelters in Mexico City, Morelos and Puebla with products of their different brands to cover food needs.

On behalf of all those who make up the Alsea family, we express our gratitude to our collaborators, customers and business partners for their solidarity with the country and support for all those affected by this natural disaster.
