NEW YORK (AP) _ AMC Networks Inc. (AMCX) on Tuesday reported first-quarter earnings of $68.7 million.

On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had net income of $1.22. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and restructuring costs, were $1.47 per share.

The owner of cable channels including AMC and IFC posted revenue of $734.4 million in the period.

AMC Networks shares have dropped 39% since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined 58% in the last 12 months.
