"América Móvil to acquire Start Wireless Group"

Mexico City, Mexico, May 20, 2013 -- América Móvil, S.A.B. de C.V. ("AMX") (BMV: AMX; NYSE: AMX; NASDAQ: AMOV; LATIBEX: XAMXL), announced that its subsidiary Tracfone Wireless, Inc., has entered into an agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of Star Wireless Group, Inc., a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in the United States, that provides services to approximately 1.4 million customers and offers, among others, prepaid plans for voice, messaging and data.

The completion of the transaction is subject to certain regulatory approvals and conditions customary in this type of transactions and is expected to occur during the second quarter of 2013.
