(b)(c) On February 7, 2020, American Express Company (the "Company") announced that Richard Petrino, Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer of the Company, will become the Chief Operating Officer of American Express National Bank and that Jessica Lieberman Quinn, age 47, has been appointed Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer of the Company, each effective as of the business day following the filing of the Company's Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2019. Ms. Lieberman Quinn has served as the Business Chief Financial Officer for Global Commercial Services since February 2019 and prior thereto was Senior Vice President, Corporate Planning & Analysis since 2014. A copy of the press release announcing these organizational changes is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
