This indicator measures the evolution in the production of goods and services. It is published once a month, about 45 days after the month ends. Higher than expected publication fosters the appreciation of the euro. It is a leading indicator of economic health, but its impact is rather limited because Germany and France (i.e. half of the Eurozone economy) publish their numbers a few days earlier.
