Ams AG said Friday that it has approached Austrian authorities over alleged investigations in the media to create transparency.

The Austrian sensor maker, which is listed in Switzerland, cited the Austrian Financial Market Authority as saying there is no investigation into the company.

German newspaper Handelsblatt reported Thursday that the FMA is investigating Ams's top management and involvement in alleged share transactions during the takeover of lighting company Osram Licht AG.
