•ANA HD has partnered with the NHK Symphony Orchestra to help further an international exchange between Japan and Vietnam

TOKYO, August 10, 2018 -ANA HOLDINGS INC. (hereinafter 'ANA HD') is supporting the NHK Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo, one of Japan's most famous orchestras, for its first concert series in Vietnam. Announced in November 2017, ANA HD and the NHK Symphony Orchestra created the partnership to promote the universal language of music by drawing on the two organizations' expertise, while strengthening each other's overseas presence (*1).

As the premier series organized under this agreement, ANA HD and NHK Symphony Orchestra hope the event is the first of future international exchanges between the two countries. The opening concerts of the series, the Ho Chi Minh City concert and Hanoi concert, are set for September 5 and September 7, respectively. ANA HD is supporting the NHK Symphony Orchestra members' travel and is transporting their delicate instruments.

This year marks the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between our two countries, Japan and Vietnam. The concerts, which will be performed at the Saigon Opera House and the Hanoi Opera House, will begin ticket sales in mid August. Conducted by Michiyoshi Inoue, the program includes Eugene Onegion, Op. 24, Act III: Polonaise and Symphony No.4 in F Minor, Op. 36 by Tchaikovsky and Symphonie Espagnole, Op. 21 by Lalo. The concerts will feature world-famous violinist Christian Tetzlaff.

ANA is connecting the two countries by operating three flights per day from Tokyo (Haneda/Narita) to Vietnam (Hanoi/ Ho Chi Minh City) and by supporting the cultural exchanges, ANA aims to further enhance the long lasting relationship.
