- Arca Continental was selected to become part of the FTSE4Good Emerging Index of the London Stock Exchange, which comprises companies with strong Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance practices (ESG).
- Arca Continental surpassed by 20% the minimum score required to become part of the index.

Monterrey, Mexico, January 31, 2017. - Arca Continental, S.A.B. de C.V. ('Arca Continental' or 'the Company') (BMV: AC*), the second largest Coca-Cola bottler in Latin America, was selected to become part of the FTSE4Good Emerging Index of the London Stock Exchange, which lists public companies that demonstrate a strong commitment to Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance practices in more than 20 emerging countries.

This outcome was based on the assessment carried out on Arca Continental's ESG practices and performance during 2015 and 2016, obtaining a score that was 20% higher than what is required to be part of the index.

The Company stated that the consistent application of international metrics and standards to evaluate its performance in sustainability, social responsibility and Corporate Governance is a key element of its long-term vision, as it provides valuable feedback for further improving key business indicators and refine actions to continue generating value for its shareholder, customers, consumers, employees and the communities it serves.

The FTSE4Good indices are designed to demonstrate to investors and other interested parties the performance of the member companies in various transcendental areas, from the management and safeguarding of ethics and transparency and the protection of Human Rights, to a full commitment to the development of society and environmental conservation.

This distinction is in addition to the inclusion of Arca Continental in the MSCI Global Sustainability Indexes as of 2014, the participation in the Sustainability Index of the Mexican Stock Exchange for the past four years as one of the founding companies, and its certification as Socially Responsible Company for the 13th consecutive year by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy.
