Real-Time TV Search Engine Impresses at IBC in Amsterdam

+ Trade show participation very successful + Orders from new and existing customers + New encoder and fingerprinting software in the Gulf States

Diepholz/Bremen - 21 September 2015: artec technologies AG (WKN 520958), manufacturer of innovative, network-based video transmission and recording systems, can look back on a successful participation in the IBC in Amsterdam.
At the international trade show for entertainment and communication solutions with more than 55,000 visitors, the company not only won new customers, but was also able to convince established customers of upgrading their existing facilities.

Having sparked great interest through expanding the product line by encoders for OTT (over the top) applications, it now becomes obvious that there will also be a high demand for the latest artec innovation: fingerprint. This technology enables media companies to search automatically for very individual content such as logos, jingles or certain advertising content. The artec system analyses the received TV signals in real time. Once the scene with the requested content is found, the user receives a notification. Additionally, the recorded data can also be searched for content afterwards. For example, it is possible to analyse within seconds where and how often a company's advertising was broadcast.

"With the new fingerprint technology, we further increase the value of our product range and offer our customers another exciting analysis tool," says Thomas Hoffmann, CEO of artec technologies AG. "It is already evident that the new encoder and fingerprint software developments will first be deployed in the Gulf States."

Concurrently with the trade show, a traditional meeting with decision-makers of a leading Qatari news agency took place at the artec premises in Diepholz. Discussions included the establishment of a comprehensive real-time TV search engine as service for other news agencies on the global market. It was agreed that artec will work out a concept to be presented to those responsible in Qatar in October 2015.
