+To be used by special forces+ Concentration on complex high-end solutions paying off

Diepholz/Bremen ̶ 29 November 2016: This year has seen artec technologies AG (WKN 520958) invest in broadening the market horizons, expanding the product portfolio with new technological developments to maximise new market potential and revenues. As a result, the Ministry of the Interior of an EU member state has ordered the new range of MULTIEYE mobile video recorders to be used by special forces.

The fanless MULTIEYE type ME10 hybrid mini video recorders may be connected to up to 10 analogue or IP video cameras. The devices are equipped with integrated LTE GSM modules for connection to the operations centre via a mobile network. The ME10 recorders are based on the MULTIEYE 3.0 video management software first presented in autumn 2016, which is even more powerful and multifunctional than its predecessor. One of the key characteristics is the easy expandability of the recorders, e.g. by the 'MULTIEYE-Face' module for face recognition or the 'MULTIEYE-ANPR' module for number plate recognition. The MULTIEYE-PrivacyShield module ensures that personal rights are protected on the basis of the data protection law. Objects such as people or vehicles are blurred by special filters in live view and thus remain anonymous, making the MULTIEYE ME 10 recorder eminently suitable for use by organisations responsible for public safety.

'Throughout this year, we have seen great interest in our new MULTIEYE product range and the Security Essen 2016 trade fair focused this interest with a large number of enquiries from enterprises and organisations focused on public safety', says artec CEO Thomas Hoffmann. 'This latest contract shows that the concentration on complex high-end solutions is the right strategy, offering high value added solutions rather than commodity products which successfully sets us apart from our competitors, especially from Asia.'
