ASAHI INTECC CO., LTD. Asahi Intecc Group announces that Asahi Intecc has concluded an exclusive distribution agreement with SoundBite Medical Solution Inc. (SBMS), a Canadian medical device development company, that allows Asahi Intecc Group to sell SoundBite Crossing System-Peripheral manufactured by SBMS in the Japanese market in the future.
SoundBite Crossing System-Peripheral, which is currently under development, is a system that facilitates the cross of lesions such as peripheral guidewires by using shock wave for cases that it is difficult for peripheral guidewires or other device to cross among CTO (Chronic Total Occlusion) lesions of the peripheral vessels, especially severely calcified lesions, etc.
Impact on operating results for the fiscal year ending June 2020 related to this matter will be minimal.
