Customers in Northern Ireland were delighted this morning as B&M opened a new store in Ballynahinch.

The new store, located on Lisburn Street, is a boost to the local community with more than 30 jobs created for people from the area.

Visitors to the store will be able to browse a wide range of branded and own label goods, including toys, groceries, health & beauty and pet ranges.

As part of the opening day celebrations, the store staff were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment, so picked Macmillan Cancer Support.

The team help those affected by cancer right from the moment they're diagnosed, up until their treatment and beyond.

They're a source of support to help patients take back some control in their lives, giving them the energy and inspiration to feel like themselves through such a devastating time.

In addition to opening the new store, they were given £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for all of their hard work in the community.

The store manager, Eamonn Porter, said: 'The team from Macmillan Cancer Support really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for the local community. We wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.

'We hope that our donation can help them to continue their great work.'

He also commented: 'Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, so we can't wait to show customers their brand new B&M.'
