WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. (AP) _ B. Riley Financial Inc. (RILY) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $17.1 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Woodland Hills, California-based company said it had net income of 59 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 83 cents per share.

The financial services firm posted revenue of $165.2 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $81.6 million, or $2.95 per share. Revenue was reported as $652.1 million.

B. Riley Financial shares have dropped 6% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $23.64, a climb of 36% in the last 12 months.
