Poland's biggest non-state lender Santander Bank Polska is not interested in taking part in consolidation at the moment, its Chief Executive Officer Michal Gajewski said on Wednesday, after years of takeovers conducted by the bank.
"We want to concentrate on solutions, on supporting our clients and we want to do it also in the second half of the year. I expect some actions on the consolidation level may happen, but we won't take part," Gajewski told journalists.
He added that Santander's second quarter record loss will not affect its Polish unit's situation.
