This is the third time in which Leumi's President & CEO appears on the prestigious list, being the only Israeli representative.

Leumi President & CEO, Rakefet Russak-Aminoach, was listed in Fortune Magazine's '100 Most Powerful Women in the World' for 2018. This is the third time that Russak-Aminoach appears on the list, and she is the only Israeli representative who made the list this year, ranking 43rd on the International list (outside the US).

The magazine credited Russak-Aminoach with turning around Leumi's fortunes with impressive business results alongside dramatic cost cutting measures that have slashed employee headcount and reduced the number of branch locations. Fortune also mentioned Leumi's digital leadership with the recent launch of Pepper, a mobile-only bank that Russak-Aminoach now wants to expand into Europe and the U.S.

Marillyn Hewson, President & CEO of Lockheed Martin, was ranked first on the U.S. list, followed Mary Bara, Chairwoman & CEO of General Motors and Abigail Johnson, Chairman & CEO of Fidelity Investments.

Heading the International List was Emma Walmsley, CEO of GlaxoSmithKline, followed by Ana Botin, Chairwoman of the Spanish Banco Santander, and Isabelle Kocher, CEO of the French energy company Engie.
