In January-December 2018, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €4,205 million, compared to a deficit of €4,434 million in the same period of 2017. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €50,792 million, compared to €48,415 million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure, including expenditure of about €3,182 million for the repayment of arrears (compared to €2,124 million last year), amounted to €52,237 million, from €53,128 million in January-December 2017.
