Banpu Public : wins SET Sustainability Awards of Honor 2019

On 26 November 2019, Banpu Public Company Limited honorably received the Sustainability Awards of Honor from the SET Awards 2019 event, which was co-hosted by the Stock Exchange of Thailand and Money & Banking Magazine at the Stock Exchange of Thailand Building. This is the third consecutive year that the Company has won the award on Sustainability Excellence, reinforcing the Company's position as a leading integrated energy solutions company in Asia-Pacific at the heart of innovation, technology and sustainability.
Besides, Banpu was also recognized in the 2019 Thailand Sustainability Investment (THSI) for the fifth consecutive year. Being listed on the THSI confirms that the Company's business operations have followed the responsible investment approach, which focuses on long-term sustainability and value creation for shareholders while adhering to the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles.

Banpu Public Company Limited is a Thailand-based company, which operates three core business, such as energy resources, energy generation and energy technology. The Company's Energy Resources segment operates in coal sales and production, both domestically and overseas. This segment also operates in gas production in the United States. The Energy Generation segment operates in electricity generation, which consists of thermal and renewable energy both domestically and overseas. The Energy Technology segment operations comprise of solar rooftop, electric vehicle, energy storage, and energy management systems. It has natural gas production of approximately 700 million cubic feet per day (MMcfed). It has eight thermal operating power plants.
