LONDON (AP) _ Barclays PLC (BCS) on Thursday reported net income of $877.1 million in its fourth quarter.

The London-based bank said it had earnings of 20 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 24 cents per share.

The financial holding company posted revenue of $6.83 billion in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $6.83 billion, beating Street forecasts.

For the year, the company reported profit of $3.14 billion, or 73 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $27.62 billion.

Barclays shares have dropped slightly more than 3% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 13% in the last 12 months.
