Long-term agreement for the supply of over 12,000 tonnes of chocolate and compound per year to Burton's Biscuit Company
Acquisition of the chocolate manufacturing assets of Burton's Biscuit Company in Moreton, Wirral, near Liverpool (UK)
After signing an agreement with Burton's Biscuit Company, the UK's second biggest biscuit manufacturer, for the long-term supply of over 12,000 tonnes of chocolate and compound per year on September 19, 2018, Barry Callebaut, the world's leading manufacturer of high-quality chocolate and cocoa products, announced it had now successfully closed the transaction with Burton's and acquired the chocolate manufacturing assets of their factory in Moreton, Wirral, near Liverpool (UK), following completion of the regulatory approval and closing conditions. The integration of the factory in Moreton into the Barry Callebaut network will start as of now.
