BRUSSELS (Reuters) - The European Commission has set a deadline of Dec. 18 to decide whether to approve the proposed purchase by Germany's BASF of Solvay nylon business.
The deadline was suspended on July 7, but the Commission, which rules on mergers in the 28-country European Union, stated in an online filing issued on Monday that this suspension had ended and a new deadline had been set.
