Brightside appoints Neil Macmillan as Non-Executive Director

Brightside has announced the appointment of Neil Macmillan to its board of directors as a Non- Executive Director.
Macmillan brings a wealth of experience in the insurance sector over the last 15 years, including six years at RSA Group where he was Group Executive Director of Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance. He has spent the last five years as a consultant with Ernst & Young with responsibility for internal audit and risk management services to their wide-range of insurance clients in the UK and Ireland.
Neil currently sits on the Board of Allied World Assurance Company's Lloyds Managing Agency and on the Board of their European Business. He is also on the Board of Trustees of MacIntyre Care where he chairs the Audit & Risk Committee as well as being Chairman of their Academies Business.
Until December 2014, Macmillan was the Non-Executive Chairman at International Insurance Company of Hannover Limited, the UK subsidiary of Hannover Re, where he also chaired the Risk, Capital & Compliance Committee.
