International publisher Brill is pleased to announce that it has taken on the publishing responsibilities of The Australian Year Book of International Law (AYBIL) under its international and human rights law imprint Brill | Nijhoff from the Australia National University (ANU).

The Australian Year Book of International Law is Australia's longest standing and most prestigious dedicated international law publication, having commenced in 1965 and now encompassing 35 volumes. Volume 36 will be published by Brill | Nijhoff with an estimated publication date of September 2019.

The Year Book aims to uniquely combine scholarly commentary with contributions from Australian government officials. Each volume contains a mix of scholarly articles, invited lectures, book reviews, notes of decisions by Australian and international courts, recent legislation, and collected Australian international law state practice.

'Brill's publication of the AYBIL represents an exciting new phase for the Year Book which will raise its profile and highlight the significance of international law studies and research at the ANU College of Law,' says Co-Editor and Professor of International Law, Donald Rothwell.

Marie Sheldon, Publishing Director, Law at Brill says 'We are very proud that ANU has entrusted the publication of this prestigious yearbook to Brill and look forward to working closely with the ANU and the Editorial Board, which retains editorial oversight for the AYBIL. Through our partnership we expect the online presence and global profile of the Year Book will be enhanced.'
