Carbon Energy Limited (ASX: CNX) - Trading Halt

Description

The securities of Carbon Energy Limited ('CNX') will be placed in trading halt at the request of CNX, pending it releasing an announcement. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in trading halt until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Wednesday, 28 November 2018 or when the announcement is released to the market.

Carbon Energy Limited ("Carbon Energy" or the "Company") (ASX: CNX) requests a halt in trading of Carbon Energy's shares listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) from the commencement of trading on Monday 26 November 2018 pending the release of an announcement about the Company's solvency. In accordance with ASX Listing Rule 17.1, Carbon Energy provides the following information:

  • (a) The reasons for the trading halt are:

    (i)material issues regarding the Company are presently being finalised by the Company's Directors;

    • (ii) There is a material risk that trading in Carbon Energy's shares might occur while the market as a whole is not reasonably informed; and

    • (iii) The trading halt is needed to prevent a false or disorderly market;

  • (b) Carbon Energy requests that the trading halt lasts until the earlier of recommencement of Carbon Energy share trading on Wednesday 28 November 2018, or release of a market announcement regarding the Company's solvency;

  • (c) The trading halt, if granted, is expected to be ended by a market announcement regarding the Company's solvency;

  • (d) Carbon Energy is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted; and

(e)Carbon Energy is not aware of any other information necessary to inform the market about the trading halt.
