CCX Carvao da Colombia SA, formerly known as Centennial Asset Participacoes Amapa SA, is a Brazil-based company engaged in the coal industry. The Company is primarily involved in the research, exploration, extraction, processing, manufacturing, transportation, export and trade of coal. The Company is engaged in the extraction of coal in the underground mine of San Juan, through the longwall mining technique, as well as in the surface extraction in the mines of Canaverales and Papayal, in which the open pit mining method is applied. The Company operates a rail system for coal transportation, which includes 150 kilometers long railway, three convoys and three locomotives. As of May 31, 2012, the Company’s wholly owned subsidiary was CCX Brasil Participacoes SA.
