Barcelona, 2 August 2018. FTSE Russell has ratified Cellnex Telecom as a member of the FTSE4Good sustainability index, as part of the annual reviews it has conducted to assess the progress of the companies and their continuity in this selective international index.

In a communication, FTSE Russell confirmed that 'Cellnex Telecom SAU has been independently assessed according to the FTSE4Good criteria, and has satisfied the requirements to become a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series.'

The FTSE4Good recognises the good practices of listed companies in environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) aspects. Cellnex was selected to become part of this index in January 2017.

In the review performed in the first half of 2018, FTSE4Good raised Cellnex's overall score to 3.9 out of 5 (from 3.6 out of 5 in 2017).

The evaluation highlights aspects related to corporate governance practices and business management, with a score of 4.5 out of 5. In this area, the company obtained the highest score in anti-corruption measures (5 out of 5) and 4 out of 5 in corporate governance.

Under social aspects, which are another of the areas for analysis by the index, we would point to the highest score in labour standards (5 out of 5) and 4 out of 5 in the aspects related to the supply chain.

In the three key areas making up the FTSE4Good rating (environmental, social and corporate governance) Cellnex is clearly above the average of the telecommunications sector (3.0), and the mobile telecommunications sub-sector (2.9).

About the FTSE4Good

Created by the global index provider FTSE Russell, the FTSE4Good Index Series is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices. The FTSE4Good indices are used by a wide variety of market participants to create and assess responsible investment funds and other products.

The indices identify which companies best manage the risks associated with these factors and are used to track indexed funds, structured financial products and as a reference indicator. They are also the benchmark for establishing comparisons between investments.

The ESG ratings, which mark the entry and ratification in the FTSE4Good indices, are used by investors wishing to incorporate environmental, social and corporate governance factors into their investment selection processes. They are also used as a reference framework to evaluate corporate commitment and to qualify corporate governance.

Presence of Cellnex in sustainability indices

Apart from the FTSE4Good index, Cellnex has been selected for and is part of other sustainability indexes at the international level, among which the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), Standard Ethics and Sustainaylitics stand out.
