Chaucer, the specialist Lloyd’s insurance group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Ball as International Property Treaty Underwriter within Chaucer Syndicate 1084’s Property Division.

With an underwriting career spanning over 20 years, Simon has extensive underwriting knowledge gained from working both in the Lloyd’s and Bermudian markets.  Simon joins a Chaucer team which is an established lead market for international property treaty reinsurance at Lloyd’s and, together with Maria Fahy, will specialise in writing Catastrophe XOL, Risk XOL, Pro Rata and Retro (all international and all treaty) risks.

Simon was previously Vice President for International Non-marine Property Treaty at Endurance Specialty Insurance Limited in Bermuda.
