ANNOUNCEMENT ON EXTERNAL DONATION

In order to actively support the prevention and control of the outbreak of the pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus, the treatment of patients and the protection of medical staff, China CITIC Bank Corporation Limited (the "Bank") donated RMB50 million to China Charity Federation.

On 26 January 2020, the Bank convened a meeting of the Board of Directors through voting by correspondence and reached a resolution. Ten directors shall participate in the poll of the meeting, and the actual number of directors participated in the voting was ten. All directors unanimously agreed, considered and approved the Proposal Regarding the Donation to China Charity Federation to Actively Support the Prevention and Control of the Epidemic, and approved the Bank to donate RMB50 million to China Charity Federation for the nationwide prevention and control of the outbreak of the pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus, the treatment of patients and the protection of medical staff. According to relevant provisions of the Rules Governing the Listing of Stocks on Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Bank's Articles of Association, this external donation is not required to be submitted to the Bank's shareholders' meeting for consideration.

The fund for this donation is the Bank's own fund and will be included in the Bank's external donation extra budgetary items for the year of 2020. This donation is a reflection of the Bank's active performing of social responsibility and exerts no material impact on the Bank's current and future operating results.
