RESIGNATION OF A SUPERVISOR

On 25 November 2019, the supervisory committee (the "Supervisory Committee") of China Shenhua Energy Company Limited (the "Company") received the written re s i g n a t i o n of Mr . She n Li n . Du e to wo r k ad j u s t m e n t , Mr . Sh e n Li n ha s conveyed to the Supervisory Committee his request to resign from the post of the employee supervisor. The resignation will become effective upon the democratic election of a new employee supervisor by the employees of the Company according to the Articles of Association of the Company.

Mr. Shen Lin confirms that he has no disagreement with the Supervisory Committee and there is no matter relating to his resignation that needs to be brought to the attention of the shareholders and creditors of the Company.
