Announcement Regarding the Completion of the 168-hour Trial Operation of Generator No. 2 of the Newly Constructed Project of Fuping Thermal Power

Recently, Generator No. 2 of the Newly Constructed Project of Shaanxi Shenhua Fuping Thermal Power of China Shenhua Energy Company Limited (the "Company") has successfully completed the 168-hour trial operation.

During the trial operation of Generator No. 2 of the Project, the parameters and energy consumption indicators reached the designed standards, while the emissions of soot, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide reached the "ultra-low emission" standards. Two 350 MW supercritical coal-fired heating units were built and Generator No.1 has been put into commercial operation in July 2018.

The Project is located in Fuping County, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province, and is constructed and being operated by Fuping Thermal Power Plant, which is wholly-owned by Shenhua Shendong Power Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company. The project adopts supercritical coal-fired indirect air cooling and heating units, together with flue gas desulfurization and denitrification devices, and environmentally friendly coal which is low ash, low sulphur, and high calorific value from Jinjie Coal Mine of Shendong Coal Field. The coal is sealed and transported to the plant via special railway line. The project uses urban water as the water source for production to achieve zero discharge of wastewater by implementing evaporation crystallization process, trying to establish an "ecological, environment-friendly and green" urban heating model power plant.
