• Logista Libros and Lantia Publishing presented today the new Service during Madrid's Book Fair

Logista Libros, the largest independent book distributor in Spain, presented today during Madrid's Book Fair its new integrated service of distribution and print on demand.

The service, already available, allows any reader to access any book ever published and, therefore, that no book is ever out of stock and is always available, in a fast and economic fashion.

This new way of distributing books is already available for any editor wishing to incorporate its titles to Logista Libros' service.

'The revolution is outstanding: we eliminate the need for warehousing stock and the guillotining of copies that may seem amortized and destined to be unlisted. This is no longer necessary. If a bookstore located throughout Spain wants any book and has an account with Logista Libros, it only has to order and it will be automatically printed and served. The process is automated and is activated in real time for one or hundreds of copies', says Arturo Álvaro, Logista Libros' Sales and Projects Responsible.

To build this ambitious and disruptive proposal, Logista Books has teamed up with the technology company Lantia Publishing. Enrique Parrilla is its manager: 'Distribution has always been the industry's great Achilles heel. An editor would earn money when editions were sold out and be ruined with re-printings. The intelligent management of market information and the new logistics, printing and real-time stock management technologies have allowed us to design a flexible offer adapting to market demand. Higher assurance for editors that they no longer need large print runs and financially gamble on a few titles every year will facilitate readers accessing a larger number of titles. We are witnessing a change of paradigm with a transcendence that we still can't fully measure. We are happy to participate'.

Bookstores will benefit from not needing a large warehouse to provide a portfolio that, in purity, is inexhaustible. 'It is great news. We all win, particularly the readers', underlines Enrique Pascual at Marcial Pons bookstore. Regarding publishers, Adelaida Herrera, at Universo de Letras, says that 'We are delighted with the proposal that every point of sale in Spain always has our entire portfolio available just one click away'.
