The campaign 'Donating a cap, a great solidarity gesture', for the Asdent Foundation, is aimed at supporting researching the Dents disease, a minority and genetic disease caused by a mutation in the chromosome X.
Throughout this first year, NACEX has collected over 20 tonnes of solidarity caps in bins located at its franchises and offices, as well as in premises of clients that asked for it.
NACEX, the Logista Group parcel and express courier firm, has collected over 20 tonnes of solidarity caps within its campaign for the Asdent Foundation, which has just reached its first year.
The campaign 'Donating a cap, a great solidarity gesture', started by NACEX in May 2018, is aimed at supporting researching the Dent disease, a minority and genetic disease caused by a mutation in the chromosome X affecting the kidney's usual functions. At that aim, the funds raised by collecting solidarity caps are devoted to fund two projects by the Asdent Foundation, one at the Institut de Recerca de Vall d'Hebron (VHIR) and another at the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria Hospital in Tenerife.
Throughout this year, NACEX has collected over 20 tonnes in caps in bins located at its franchises and offices, thanks to the cooperation by its whole staff, collaborators and clients. Also, companies, organizations and institutions asked to join this initiative, by placing bins for collecting caps at their premises.
Thanks to this 'Donating a cap, a great solidarity gesture', NACEX was recognized in two categories of the Social Enterprise Awards 2018: 'Best CSR Project in the Parcel and Express Courier Industry' and 'Best Responsible Project Supporting Medical Research in the Parcel and Express Courier Industry'.
Due to the success of the campaign and the support it has provided, NACEX has decided to maintain this collaboration with Asdent. This initiative adds to NACEX's strong commitment to fighting diseases, within its Corporate Social Responsibility policy. Accordingly, the company promoted different social projects with NGOs like the Josep Carreras Foundation, the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, the Asdent Foundation, the San Juan de Dios Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House, among many.
