Coca-Cola Amatil NZ announced as a foundation member of the Gender Tick™

Coca-Cola Amatil NZ (Amatil NZ) is one of the first companies in New Zealand to receive the Gender Tick. Alongwith a group of proud local companies, Amatil NZ is a foundation member of the Gender Tick programme.

The Gender Tick is a unique New Zealand based accreditation where organisations are recognised for their leadership and compliance in matters of gender in the workplace. The accreditation process includes independent validation that an organisation's people, policies and processes promote a healthy workplace for allgenders.

General Manager of People & Culture at Coca-Cola Amatil NZ, Susan Lowe, says it's a privilege and honour tobe involved in the Gender Tick accreditation and both organisations' values naturally align.

"This is not only an innovative new programme that promotes and encourages a much fairer workplace for allbut it also shows a greater commitment to gender equality," says Susan Lowe.

"Our values at Coca-Cola Amatil align with the same expectations of the Gender Tick and we are proud of thework we do to ensure our people enjoy the benefits of an engaged and healthy workplace culture."

The Gender Tick programme assesses five key indicators, each of which directly shapes an organisation'sprogress towards gender equity. These are:

  • 1) Gender Inclusive Culture

  • 2) Safe Workplace

  • 3) Flexible Work and Leave

  • 4) Career Development

  • 5) Equal Pay

This accreditation adds to Coca-Cola Amatil NZ's recent string of awards and endorsements in 2018 including:

  • - Amatil NZ receiving the Rainbow Tick again in 2018 for the 4th year in a row.

  • - Accredited as one of the Best Employers in Australasia by Aon Hewitt for the 3rd consecutive year.

  • - Amatil NZ's National Contact Centre was recognised as one of the best call centres in the country at theCRM Awards.

  • - For the first time ever, Amatil NZ was recognised as one of the best bottlers in the world by its biggestpartner, The Coca-Cola Company.
