Communications services companies rose as investors piled into the most economically sensitive areas, betting that a surprisingly strong jobs report portended a rapid return to economic normal.

Shares of Tribune rose slightly after the newspaper publisher said that, while subscription cancellations slowed during the coronavirus lockdown, it became more difficult to attract readers through promotions, as reported earlier.
