Dr. Eckart Pech joins Management Board of CompuGroup Medical SE Koblenz, October 15, 2019 - Dr. Eckart Pech will join the Management Board of CompuGroup Medical SE on November 1, 2019, and will lead the newly created Consumer and Health Management Information Systems segment. The Koblenz-based company, one of the world's largest providers of eHealth solutions, aims to further strengthen its role as a driving force for connectivity within the healthcare sector. Most recently, Dr. Eckart Pech was a member of the Management Board of Allianz Technology SE with responsibility for the global IT platforms of Allianz Group. Previously at Telefonica Deutschland AG, he was Chief Information Officer and Member of the Management Board and thus responsible for the operation and further development of the IT platforms. As President and CEO of Detecon, Inc. in the US, he established and managed the consulting business of Deutsche Telekom in the American market. Pech began his career at Diebold, a consulting company belonging to the Daimler Group, where he eventually worked as a Partner in the "Mobile & Online" division. Dr. Eckart Pech studied Business Economics and Chinese at the University of Bayreuth and the Shanghai International Studies University. He completed his doctorate at the Bundeswehr University Munich. He has extensive global experience in General Management and Technology Management. As a member of the Management Board, Dr. Eckart Pech will be responsible for the Consumer and Health Management Information Systems segment. This newly created segment acts as a catalyst for digital transformation within CGM and thus serves to materialize the digital efficiency potential in the healthcare sector. Vertically, the responsibilities for the consumer, insurance, and industry divisions will be bundled in this segment; horizontally, the responsibilities include connectivity and data.
